Product description
The history of Maison Meukow dates back to the mid-19th century. In 1850, the Russian Tsar Alexander II sent two brothers, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow from Silesia to France with a mission to secure supplies of cognac to the Tsar's court.
The brothers made several journeys, and then on August 1, 1862, they opened the AC Meukow & Co. sales office in Cognac. Since 1979, the company has been part of the private company Compagnie de Guyenne, founded in 1969 by Michel Coste. Since 1993, Meukow cognacs have been presented in a unique "cat" bottle, decorated with the image of a panther and undoubtedly catching the eye of a potential customer. Meukow VSOP Superior is a blend of eaux-de-vie from all (six) growing regions, aged for at least one year longer than the VSOP category requires (minimum four years). This cognac won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits in 2018.
