Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon /47%/ 0,7l + szklanka
- Heaven Hill Distillery launched Elijah Craig Bourbon in 1986. The bourbon is named after reverend Elijah Craig, arguably the creator of bourbon, as we know it (he is credited as the first distiller to age his whiskey in charred oak barrels).
Product description
Elijah Craig is named after Reverend Elijah Craig, a Baptist who founded his distillery in 1789 on the banks of Elkhorn Creek in present-day Georgetown, Kentucky.
He is credited as the first distiller to age his whiskey in charred oak barrels, earning him the title of “Father of Bourbon.” More than 200 years after Reverend Elijah Craig founded the distillery, Elijah Craig has become one of the most iconic and fastest-growing Bourbons, and is widely considered by experts to be the “Fast Track Brand.”
History
The most famous version, Elijah Craig Small Batch, owes its characteristic warm note of spice and subtle smoky flavor to oak barrels charred to 3rd degree. It is created as a blend of 8-12 year old barrels. Bottled at 47% ABV for proper balance and delicacy.
