The Story of the Spaniard is a blend of six single malts in the following proportions: 40% Aberlour aged in fresh sherry butts; 25% Teaninich aged in Spanish red wine casks; 15% Highland Blend aged in heavily charred French oak barrels (the blend consists of Clynelish [60%], Dailuaine [20%] and Teaninich [20%]); 8% Deanston aged in refill butts; 7% Deanston aged in refill hogsheads and 5% Glen Elgin aged in recharred casks. Subsequent releases will be released no more than twice a year.
