Product description
Hennessy has been leading the cognac sales statistics for years. In 2018, 7.8 million cases were sold, which is almost 40% of the entire sector's turnover.
The grapes used in the production come from four growing districts in the region – Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. Hennessy XO, blended by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, was the first cognac to be classified as XO (Extra Old). It is currently a blend of around one hundred eaux-de-vie made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety and aged for up to 30 years. The cognac is presented in an elegant pear-shaped decanter decorated with leaves and grape clusters. Since 2005, Hennessy XO has won the gold medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco six times.
