Product description
Bodegas Beronia is located in Olluari, in the heart of the Rioja region, known for producing the most famous Spanish wines. The winery belongs to the Gonzalez-Byass family company. It is one of the most famous family companies in the world, famous for producing excellent sherry (Tio Pepe), brandy (Soberano) and wines from different regions of Spain. This small winery, which in the intention of its creators was to produce wines exclusively for the owners and their friends, has today become one of the most famous in Spain, and the wines produced there have their own personality and character. The fruit used for production comes from vines over a hundred years old, even before the phylloxera plague, which destroyed most of the vineyards in Europe at the end of the 19th century.
A trademark of the Beronia winery are the unique barrels used in the maturation process, built from mixed wood - the lids are made of French oak, while the side staves are made of American oak.
Beronia Crianza Rioja is a dry red Spanish wine, aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels. Produced from a blend of Tempranillo (82%), Garnacha (14%) and Mazuelo (4%).
