Product description
Giffard & Cie is a renowned producer of liqueurs and bar syrups based in Avrillé in western France. The company was founded in 1885 by Émile Giffard in nearby Angers.
Émile, a graduate of the Pharmacy Department at the University of Poitiers and owner of a chemist's, experimented a lot with peppermint and in 1885, during an unusually hot year, he developed the formula for Menthe-Pastille liqueur, suitable for serving both before and after a meal. The success of Menthe-Pastille was so great that it allowed Giffard to end his career as a chemist and buy his own distillery. Today, the fifth generation of the family manages the company, whose offer has grown over the years to over a hundred products. Key positions are held by Emil's great-great-grandchildren, Bruno Giffard and his sister Edith.
Parfait Triple Sec (originally called Curaçao Triple Sec) is a colorless orange liqueur distilled with sweet and bitter oranges or just their peels ("Parfait" means perfect, and "sec" means dry). It is a fresh and aromatic drink that tastes great in its natural form, as well as with ice. The producer recommends it in Margarita:
30ml tequila;
20ml Giffard Parfait Triple Sec;
10ml lime juice
