- Highland Park is one of the few operating Scottish distilleries, the history of which stretches throughout four centuries.
Product description
Highland Park is one of a handful of Scottish distilleries still in operation, with a history spanning four centuries – it was founded in 1798, has belonged to the Edrington Group since 1999 and, equipped with two pairs of stills, produces 2.5 million litres of distillate per year.
Highland Park 21 years old debuted in 2007 in the exclusive distribution of the Travel Retail chain, two years later it won the prestigious distinction of "Best Single Malt of the Year" and soon ... disappeared from the market for almost a decade due to lack of stock. Currently, it experiences annual limited editions. The edition from 2023 presented here was compiled from 36 barrels, including bourbon barrels, first-fill sherry barrels (European and American oak) and Rioja wine barrels. They were selected personally by the distillery manager Gordon Motion.
