Product description
Tobermory Distillery, based on the Isle of Mull, produces two distinct single malts – the entirely unpeated Tobermory and the heavily peated Ledaiga (35-40 ppm).
In the 20th century, the plant experienced several long production breaks, and it was not until it was taken over by Burn Stewart Distillers in 1993 that it began to achieve measurable success. Although production ceased in March 2017, the break was forced by a general renovation of the buildings, the replacement of stills and the enlargement of the reception hall. The Ledaig 17 years old presented here is a proposal from Signatory Vintage in the "Cask Strength Collection". The whisky was distilled on September 19, 2005, aged in a refilled sherry butt (no. 900038) and bottled at 65% abv and without chill filtration on April 26, 2023. The edition consisted of 388 bottles.
