In 2022, Bushmills sales exceeded the magical number of one million cases for the first time.
This fact has not changed the rankings in the popularity ranking of Irish whiskey, still in first place is Jameson with a result of over 11 million cases, and in second place Tullamore Dew, which recorded sales of 1.4 million cases. Since 2014, the distillery has been owned by Casa Cuervo, the producer of José Cuervo tequila, which expanded the plant, or rather built a new distillery; their combined production capacity is 9 million liters of distillate per year. In 2023, two super-premium versions of Bushmills single malt, 25 and 30 years old, were launched on the market. The second of them, after 14 years of maturation in bourbon and sherry casks, finished for another 16 years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The whiskey was bottled at 46% abv, without chill filtration.
