Product description
Bowmore is the oldest distillery on Islay, producing whisky since 1779.
It is also one of a handful of Scottish distilleries that malts its own barley, covering around 30% of its demand for this raw material. The brand's annual sales reach 2 million bottles, which is roughly the same as Lagavulin. Bowmore's sales offer is very diverse and emphasizes the brand's presence in every price segment. The 9-year-old presented here is a great introduction to discovering the secrets of this single malt. The whisky was blended from distillates aged in American and European oak barrels and bottled at a very "consumer strength" of 40% abv.
