Product description
In 2023, Aberfeldy Distillery celebrated its 125th anniversary.
The distillery was built by the Dewar brothers, Tom and John Alexander, to supply malt whisky for the Dewar's White Label family blend (Aberfeldy is the only distillery built by the Dewar family). In 1998, Aberfeldy, along with the entire John Dewar & Sons portfolio, became the property of Bacardi Ltd and currently uses its full production potential, distilling around 3.5 million litres of alcohol per year. Sales of Aberfeldy single malt have been growing steadily, currently exceeding 1.5 million bottles. The author of the anniversary edition is Stephanie MacLeod, a master blender at Bacardi, who used whisky aged in refill casks (hogsheads and butts) and finished in fresh Oloroso sherry casks for at least a year.
