The story of Padre Azul tequila is a love story between a beautiful Mexican woman studying at the University of Heidelberg and an Austrian. The idea of Padre Azul was born on the day the young Austrian met his Mexican father-in-law over a bottle of tequila. Soon the son-in-law, already infected with the passion for distillation by his father, a producer of excellent schnapps, joined his father-in-law in Mexico and a team of experienced distillers, creators of tequila for many generations. Tequila Padre Azul is produced in the Tequila Tres Mujeres distillery based on 100% blue agave and is distilled twice in stainless steel stills.
Padre Azul Reposado is surprisingly different! 8 months of aging in hand-selected oak bourbon barrels makes it incomparable to any other Reposado edition. The influence of oak combined with the sweetness of mature agaves makes each sip an explosion of aromas on the palate.
Nose: Notes of cooked agave, fruit compote, pear, banana and dried orange created by slow cooking are balanced by vanilla, caramel, coconut and white chocolate created by barrel aging.
Taste: Fruit compote, notes of vanilla and cooked agave
Finish: Velvety texture with a sweet and smooth finish.
