Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey debuted in 2019 as the fifth entry in the Distiller's Select series, which forms the distillery's core offering.

The other four in the list are Straight Bourbon, Double Oaked, Straight Rye and Straight Malt. Its formula is based on four grains and, according to Chris Morris, its creator and Brown-Forman master distiller, inspired by the classic Woodford Reserve bourbon. The main grain is of course wheat (52%), followed by corn (20%), malted barley (20%) and rye (8%). The whiskey is bottled at 45.2% ABV without an age statement. The Woodford Reserve brand debuted in 1996, its current sales (2018) exceed 700 thousand cases.

Nose: fruity with a subtle spiciness, apples, pears, bananas, vanilla, milk fudge, brown sugar, notes of potpourri and cedar.

Taste: sweet, vanilla, caramel, coconut flakes, apple pie sprinkled with cinnamon, cloves, mint leaf and delicate oak bitterness.

Finish: fairly long, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, cocoa powder and charred oak.
