With annual sales of over 9.2 million cases (2022), Ballantine's is the second most popular Scotch whisky (Johnnie Walker is in first place).

Every year, the company releases a limited edition of its standard whisky with an unusual graphic design. The 2023 edition presented here is the second edition with Mad Moxxi in the lead role. Moxxi is one of the main characters of the extremely popular computer game "Borderlands" (by the end of 2022 it had 77 million users). Moxxi is a somewhat mysterious figure, the owner of several bars on the planet Pandora. In 2022, she was appointed head of galactic expansion by George Ballantine himself. So far, the cooperation is more than successful.

Aroma: slightly floral, violets, lavender, cereals, honey, toffee, apples, grapefruit, traces of oak and peat smoke.

Taste: fruity, apples, oranges, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, honey, some pine needles, dried herbs and peat.

Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, honey, nuts, pepper, a bit of peat and a slight bitterness of oak.
