Product description
The Sailor's Home Company, based in Limerick, is one of the younger players in the Irish whiskey market.
Its name refers to the Sailor's Home built in 1856 in Limerick by local merchants, the city council and the port authority. The company's offer includes four whiskeys - The Haven, The Journey, The Horizon and Caravelle. They are blended from malt and grain whiskeys distilled three times in Ireland, and the selection of components is supervised by Jack Ó'Sé, whose career in the distilling industry began in 1979. The Horizon presented here, blended from distillates aged for 10 years in American oak barrels, finished in Barbadian rum barrels. In 2021, this whiskey was rated 91 points by the judges of the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
