Product description
Tomatin, once Scotland's largest single malt distillery and regular supplier of whiskies for blending, is becoming a significant player in the single malt market in the new millennium.
Currently, around 65% of production is intended for single malt editions, while the remaining 35% will go to the blended category. In 2021, the Tomatin French Collection series hit the market, containing whiskies finished in French wine and cognac barrels. A year later, we welcomed the Portuguese Collection, finished in Portuguese wine barrels. The whiskies used in it, distilled on September 8, 2006, after eight years of maturation in traditional oak barrels, went to Port, Moscatel and Madeira barrels for another seven years. The Tomatin presented here, released on May 9, 2022, was finished in Tawny Port barrels.
