Product description
The roots of the Yellowstone brand date back to the second half of the 19th century.
The National Park, from which it took its name, opened in 1872, and the whiskey itself (originally bourbon) was certainly on the market in 1886. During Prohibition, Yellowstone had the status of "medicinal whiskey" and was available on prescription. Currently, the rights to the brand are owned by Luxco Inc., which has been owned by MGP Ingredients since 2021. Today, Yellowstone whiskey is produced at the Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky, where Stephen Beam oversees distillation. The distillery was established in 2010 and is owned by Luxco. In the spring of 2023, the Yellowstone brand was expanded to include single malt whiskey. The label indicates Limestone Branch Distillery as the producer, but the whiskey was distilled in Indiana by MGP Ingredients and aged for four years.
