Product description
Dailuaine Distillery was built in 1852 by William Mackenzie. Its name comes from the Gaelic "An dail uaine" meaning roughly the green valley.
Today, the plant belongs to Diageo and, equipped with three pairs of stills, produces over 5 million liters of distillate per year. Despite such great distillation potential, the local single malt remains almost unknown, because about 99% of production is consumed by the company's blends. The last relatively widely available official edition was the 16-year-old in the Flora & Fauna series. The Dailuaine 10 years old presented here is a proposal of the Signatory Vintage company The Un-chillfiltered Collection series. The whisky distilled on July 4, 2012, was aged in re-charred hogshead barrels (no. 308754, 308758, 308762/63) and bottled in January 2023 at 46% ABV and without chill filtration.
