Product description
The Templeton brand was launched in 2006 by Iowa-based Templeton Rye Spirits LLC.
The whiskey distilled from mashbill composed of 95% rye and 5% malted barley is sourced form MGP Ingredients of Indiana. In August 2018 the company opened their own distillery but before their spirit comes of age, the further releases will be based on sourced whiskey. Templeton Rye Stout Cask Finish was launched in 2022 as the fourth expression in the brand’s limited edition Barrel Finish Series (the previous finishes included Oloroso sherry, Caribbean rum and Maple cask). This time, after being aged in new American oak barrels for six years, the whiskey was transferred into chocolate coffee stout casks for additional three months. The whisky is bottled at 46% abv without chill-filtration.
