Product description
Glenmorangie has been among the most popular single malts for years, with 2021 bringing it fourth place and global sales of 6.5 million bottles.
Glenmorangie's offering is incredibly diverse, and the super prestigious limited editions add an extra touch of attraction. The Cask No.9 presented here, filled on July 6, 1999 and resting in the cool of warehouse no. 32, was for many years the pearl of Dr. Bill Lumsden. After some 17 years of maturation, Lumsden was enchanted by the character of the whisky that filled it. He considered it a Glenmorangie classic and decided to transfer the drink to a fresh bourbon cask for another four years. This period intensified its individual characteristics and unique complexity. (Master's tasting note.)
Nose : fruity-sweet, with notes of orange, mandarin, peach and nectarine; rum-raisin ice cream, vanilla and caramel cream balanced by cedar and sandalwood. A drop of water brings out the scent of mango and lychee.
Palate : an explosion of peaches and passion fruit sprinkled with brown sugar at the beginning; burnt caramel, cinnamon and ginger. Finally, candied ginger, roasted almonds and oranges in a wonderful symphony played in the finish.
