Product description
The Big Smoke is a blended malt whisky with a smoky and peaty profile from the portfolio of Duncan Taylor Ltd.
The company was founded in 1938 and initially dealt in whisky wholesale. Acquired in 2001 by Euan Shand, it focused on bottling its own stock and built an equally extensive and attractive portfolio, which includes whisky as well as gins and rums. The Big Smoke is a nod to the iconic island of Islay, which is almost entirely covered in peat and where the producers of the smokiest and peatiest single malts are based. Duncan Taylor does not reveal which distilleries the components of “The Big Smoke” come from; they are sourced from The Isle of Islay.
