Black Tot rum was named so to invoke the day when the old tradition of daily portions of rum offered to sailors was abandoned.
That was 31st July 1970, and sailors refer to as Black Tot Day. The rum is a blend of spirits from Barbados (35%, 5 years old), Guyana (40% 3-5 years old and 20% unaged) and Jamaica (5% 3 years old), made from molasses. The rum was bottled in Scotland, non-chill filtered and with no sugar added.
