Product description
Glenallachie Distillery is based in Speyside, close to Aberlour and Benrinnes.
Its name comes from the Gaelic gleann aileachaidh, which translates to “Rocky Valley.” The distillery was built in 1967 by Mackinaly, McPherson & Co, 20 years later it became the property of Pernod Ricard, and since 2017 it has belonged to Billy Walker and his partners. For years, Glenallachie malt has been the core of the Clan of Campbell blend, one of the most popular whiskies in France (global sales of 20 million bottles per year). GlenAllachie 10 year old Cask Strength debuted in June 2018; the Batch # 9 presented here will hit the market in spring 2023. In its composition, Billy Walker used Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry barrels, Rioja wine barrels, and medium-roasted and charred so-called virgin oak casks made of American oak.
