Product description
Tomintoul Distillery is based in Speyside, on the 230km2 Glenlivet Estate.
The distillery is named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, the highest settlement in the Scottish Highlands. Tomintoul is described by its owners as The Gentle Dram, and it is indeed one of the smoothest single malts from Speyside. The distillery is in full swing in the new century, producing 3.3 million litres of spirit per year. Tomintoul 15 Year Old Portwood Finish debuted in March 2016 with a limited edition of 5,820 bottles. The whisky presented here was distilled in 2006, aged in ex-bourbon casks and finished for an undisclosed period in ex-port barrels. The whisky was bottled in 2021 at 46% abv in an edition of 9,762 bottles.
