Product description
2022 was a very successful year for Chivas, with sales of the brand increasing by 26% compared to the previous year and amounting to 5.2 million cases.
This result secured it the third position in Scotch whisky sales statistics, as well as a million cases advantage over its closest rival, Grant's. We remember that Royal Salute debuted in 1953 on the occasion of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and over the next 70 years it saw many limited editions. Royal Salute is primarily a blended whisky of the super-premium segment, but the edition presented here "The Malts Blend" is a honorable exception to the rule. This creation of Sandy Hyslop debuted in March 2019, composed of 21 single malts aged for at least 21 years, and although we do not know their full list, we can assume that the leading role in the formula is played by: Strathisla, Longmorn, Braeval and Allt A'Bhainne.
Nose: fruity-sweet, pears, peaches, tangerines, blackcurrant jam, honeycomb, vanilla, violet liqueur, a pinch of cinnamon and a fleeting trace of smoke.
Palate : vanilla cream, honey, milk fudge, crème brûlée, apricots, banana cake, orange jam, honeyed nuts, allspice, cloves and toasted oak.
Finish : quite long, with notes of honey, vanilla, nectarines, orange peel, cinnamon and oak.
