Product description
Timorous Beastie debuted in autumn 2014 as the third entry in Douglas Laing & Co.’s Remarkable Regional Malts Collection.
The range currently consists of six blended malts, each reflecting the character of a particular whisky region. The Timorous Beastie formula is based on single malts from the Highlands, including Dalmore, Glengoyne, Glen Garioch and Blair Athol, and its name refers to the Scottish bard Robert Burns’ poem To a Mouse, written after he destroyed a mouse nest on his farm. In 2023, the company introduced The Cheese Cellar Collection, which features “regional malts” paired with cheeses. The recommended choice for the Timorous Beastie Port Cask Finish presented here is Blue Stilton. This limited edition was made in 4,200 bottles.
