Product description
The Cooper's Choice is a range of single malt and single grain whiskies from the portfolio of The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, founded in 1992 by Brian Crook.
The Cooper's Choice debuted a year later and pays tribute to the coopers, whose role in Scotch whisky is often underestimated. The Tomatin 8 year old presented here is the 2022 "cooper's choice" - distilled in December 2013, aged in an American oak cask and finished in a port cask no. 9130. The whisky was bottled at cask strength (54% abv) without chill filtration in an edition of 264 bottles. Once Scotland's largest malt distillery, the Tomatin Distillery is based in the Highlands. After reduction, it has six pairs of stills and can produce 5 million litres of spirit per year.
