Product description
Braeval Distillery was built in 1973 by Chivas Bros., then owned by Seagram.
The original name of the distillery was Braes of Glenlivet, and it has been using the current name since 1994 (allegedly, the original name was too closely associated with the Glenlivet distillery). Braeval is a modern and very efficient distillery – equipped with 6 stills, it produces 4.2 million liters of distillate per year, the lion's share of which is "consumed" by Chivas blends. Braeval is quite rarely featured in independent publishers' offers, and the one presented here is a whisky distilled in January 2009 and aged in a bourbon barrel no. 4147 for over 13 years. In 2022, the whisky bottled at 58.5% abv and without chill filtration was included in The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.'s "The Cooper's Choice" series. The edition consisted of 336 bottles.
