Product description
Basil Hayden Bourbon (originally Basil Hayden's), which was considered the weakest link in the "Jim Beam Small Batch Collection", has been its real star for several years.
The market has seen the release of unusual editions for the bourbon category, such as Dark Rye, Subtle Smoke, and most recently Red Wine Cask Finish. The latter is the work of Beam’s eighth-generation master distiller, Freddie Noe. He divided a batch of standard Basil Hayden bourbon into two parts. He finished one of them in Californian red wine barrels and then combined it with the other. Unfortunately, no details were disclosed about the origin of the barrels or the finishing process. Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish hit the market in the fall of 2022 as a limited edition; for now, Beam has no plans to include it in the core offering.
