Glen Grant Distillery, based in Rothes (Speyside region), has been producing whisky since 1840. It currently belongs to the Italian Gruppo Campari and, equipped with 4 pairs of stills, can distill over 6 million litres of alcohol per year.
The stills have built-in devices called purifiers, thanks to which the distillate takes on a light, fruity and floral character. Glen Grant is currently (2019) the eleventh most popular single malt with annual sales of almost 3 million bottles. In 2016, the owners changed the presentation of the whisky and introduced new versions, including the 18-year-old presented here, aged in white American oak barrels. In his "Whisky Bible 2018", Jim Murray awarded it the title of "Scotch whisky of the year". In 2020, the distillery changed the designs and colors of the labels, the 18-year-old was given a blue color
