Product description
The Ultimate Whisky Company is a Dutch company based in Amersfoort.
Founded in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, it initially specialised in miniature editions. Its whiskies are bottled in their natural colour, without chill filtration, either cask strength or at 46% ABV. Since 1994, over 1,000 editions have been released under the ‘The Ultimate’ banner. The Craigellachie presented here was distilled on 23 June 2009, aged in first-fill bourbon cask no. 306169 for over 13 years and bottled at 46% ABV in October 2022. The Craigellachie Distillery has been in operation since 1890. It is now owned by John Dewar & Sons, a subsidiary of Bacardi Ltd, and produces over 4 million litres of distillate per year, mainly for Dewar’s blends.
