Product description
In late 2020, Douglas Laing & Co. once again expanded its popular Old Particular series, this time with The Midnight Series.
It consists of single malts aged in sherry casks and bottled in single cask. The label with a slumbering moon clearly suggests evening, contemplative sipping of these whiskies. The Glenrothes presented here, distilled in May 2004, spent over 18 years in a butt-aged sherry cask (DL 17173), and was bottled at 48.4% abv in February 2023 in an edition of 645 bottles. The Glenrothes Distillery, part of the Edrington Group, is located in the heart of Speyside and has five pairs of stills and can produce 5.6 million litres of alcohol per year.
