How is BenRiach The Twenty Five made?
A key element of the process of creating this single malt whisky is maturation in as many as three types of casks: bourbon and sherry, as well as new barrels made of virgin oak.
Each of these maturation stages gives the whisky its own unique characteristics. This specialized process results in a remarkably understated and one-of-a-kind single malt Scotch whisky.
To create this exquisitely flavoured whisky, Dr Rachel Barrie, Master Blender for Benriach, personally selects the oldest, most extraordinary barrels from our warehouses. The whisky matures in each for at least 25 years.
The final composition delights with the richness and harmony of flavours, combining the characteristic fruitiness and lightness of the Speyside style with intense, heavier and more spicy notes of oak.

Adventurer, collector and entrepreneur John Duff founded the BenRiach Distillery in 1898 in Scotland, more precisely Speyside, in the north-eastern Morayshire region.
