Product description
Cydrownia Chyliczki is a family business based near Piaseczno founded in 2014.
In the last two decades, we have witnessed an explosion of "kraft" alcoholic beverages around the world and our country is not lagging behind the global trend. Chyliczki has set its sights on cider, also known as apple cider, which is experiencing a modest renaissance, an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting apple must in a manner similar to beer production. The driving force behind the Chyliczki cidery is Dariusz Koros an enthusiast and producer of homemade liquors, his daughter Dominika Krenke (legal counsel) and Piotr Kowalczyk who comes from a family of fruit growers with many years of tradition, and at the same time a producer of high quality fruit juices.
The Ice Cider presented to you is the most "successful" beverage from Chyliczki (nine medals won in 2015-2019). It is produced by a very slow fermentation method lasting 12 to 18 months from frozen apple juice (mainly of the Ruby variety). After bottling and plugging with a natural cork, it matures for about six months. The tasting of Chyliczki Ice Cider exceeded our wildest expectations. I don't think we've ever experienced such an intensity of aromas and flavors - our noses were captivated by the aromas of baked apples, raisins and candied orange peel subtly balanced with a blend of spices. In the mouth similarly, an eruption of apples, seeds and raisins. Served at 5ºC both as an aperitif and with long-ripened and molded cheeses. Old Polish cuisine would describe this nectar as "heaven in a mouth!"
