Walcher la Vita è Bella is the second gin, alongside Biostilla Organic, produced by Walcher Distillery.

The Walcher Estate Distillery was built in 1966 by Alfons Walcher, a member of a family that has been involved in distilling for nine generations. The company is based in the fruit region of South Tyrol, where the climate is perfect and guarantees 280 days of sunshine a year. Its offer includes fruit brandies, liqueurs, grappa, aperitifs and gin. The base of the latter is a grain spirit distilled from organic wheat. La Vita è Bella, or “Life is beautiful”, is a gin that brings a fresh breath of the Mediterranean. Its formula features 24 botanicals from the Mediterranean, including juniper berries, Sicilian cedar, Sicilian mandarin, coriander, cumin and cardamom seeds, angelica, orris and calamus roots, rosemary, lemon balm, mint, lavender, elderberry and orange flowers, lemon and orange peel, chamomile and rose petals. Before bottling, the distillate is diluted with mountain water from the Italian Dolomites to 40% abv. In 2015, this gin won a gold medal at the International Wines & Spirit Competition.

La Vita é Bella is a very complex gin, a great choice for summer days. We find strong citrus, floral and herbal notes, wrapped in a hint of juniper and forest floor. This gin fully deserves to be tasted with just an ice cube, as well as with a premium tonic, such as Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic, with the addition of a slice of orange and a leaf of chocolate mint.
