Product description
Glenrothes is a large distillery in Speyside capable of producing 5.6 million litres of alcohol per year.
From 2010 to 2017, the distillery was owned by the Edrington Group, while the Glenrothes brand belonged to Berry Bros & Rudd. In 2017, the brand returned to Edrington, and the president of Berry Bros. only admitted that the offer he received was one of those "unrefutable". Glenrothes enjoys great respect from master blenders, and independent publishers are also eager to include it in their offers. The whisky presented here, distilled in September 2005, spent over 17 years in an Oloroso sherry butt (no. HL 19901), and was bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. in the Old Malt Cask series in October 2022. The edition consisted of 123 bottles. Hunter Laing & Co. whiskies are bottled with a natural color and without chill filtration.
