Product description
In 1993, Gordon & MacPhail, owned by the Urquhart family, purchased the closed Benromach distillery from United Distillers and resumed production five years later.
The Urquharts have been experimenting with different forms of distillation and maturation since day one, and have continually expanded Benromach’s commercial offering. After a few ‘finishes’ and Peat Smoke and Organic editions, they launched a Triple Distilled in late summer 2017; the latter three now form the ‘Contrasts’ series. This whisky, triple distilled in 2011, spent over a decade in first-fill bourbon casks and was bottled at 46% abv in 2022.
