Product description
The Exceptional Cask Series is the brainchild of Aberfeldy Distillery blender Stephanie Macleod, and consists of single cask, double cask and small batch editions.
The Aberfeldy 19 year old Small Batch presented here is a whisky matured in refill casks and finished in three Oloroso sherry casks (no. 3076-3078). The whisky has been bottled at 43% abv in a limited edition of 2,256 bottles. The Aberfeldy Distillery, based in the southern Highlands, was founded in 1896 by brothers John and Tommy Dewar. Today, the distillery is owned by Bacardi Ltd and produces 3.4 million litres of distillate per year. As was the case over a hundred years ago, the lion's share of production goes into Dewar's blends.
