Product description
Premier Barrel Selection from the Douglas Laing & Co. portfolio is one of the most impressively packaged whisky lines.
It is released in old-fashioned stoneware decanters, always accompanied by a short stanza referring to the specific whisky, expressed using alliteration. All whiskies in the Premier Barrel series are bottled at 46% abv, natural colour and unchill-filtered. Tamdhu 8 years old is a whisky aged in a hogshead cask, the contents of which translate into 386 bottles (or rather stoneware). Tamdhu Distillery, built in 1897, is based in Speyside. The distillery is owned by the private company Ian Macleod Distillers and produces around 3.7 million litres of distillate per year, using 90% of its capacity.
