Product description
Premier Barrel Selection from the Douglas Laing & Co. portfolio is one of the most impressively packaged whisky lines.
It comes to market in old-fashioned stoneware decanters, always accompanied by a short stanza referring to the whisky in question, expressed through alliteration. All the whiskies in the Premier Barrel series are bottled at 46% abv, natural colour and unchill-filtered. Glen Garioch 8 Year Old is a bourbon-barrel-aged whisky; its contents amount to 304 bottles (or rather stoneware). Founded in 1797, Glen Garioch Distillery is one of a handful that date back to the 18th century. It is owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers, a subsidiary of Beam Suntory. Glen Garioch distills in two stills (the third was removed in 2020) and has a production capacity of around 1.3 million litres of distillate per year.
