Big Moustache is an American whiskey from the portfolio of BBC Spirits, a Bordeaux-based company founded in 2010 by Bogdan Tanasoiu and Bertrand Fradin.
Initially, BBC's business was limited to importing and exporting wines, but after a few years, distilled spirits appeared in the offer - whiskey, rum, tequila, vodka and gin. The "Whisker" brand includes three whiskeys - single malt, rye whiskey and Tennessee Whiskey. The latter, distilled by Tennessee Distilling Co. from a mash of 80% corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley, was aged for over four years in American oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof (50% abv). 580 cases were released.
Nose : slightly smoky, melted butter, vanilla, maple syrup, milk fudge, notes of candied ginger, cinnamon and cedar.
Palate: caramel, vanilla pudding, toffee, honey-roasted peanuts, fruit candy, cloves, cinnamon, notes of ginger and oak.
Finish : quite long, with notes of caramel, vanilla, toffee, candy, mulled wine spice and a distant trace of smoke.
