Product description
Ballantine's 10 year old American Barrel, the latest version of this popular whiskey, debuted in fall 2021.
As you might guess, its essence is American oak - both components were aged in barrels made from it, and the finished blend was also finished in them. The whisky is advertised as a combination of Scottish character with the sweetness of American oak. The key components of Ballantine's blends are Glenburgie malts, Miltonduff, Glentauchers and, to a lesser extent, Scapa, while most of the grain whisky is supplied by Strathclyde Distillery. Ballantine's is the permanent vice-leader of Scotch whisky sales statistics, in 2021 it found buyers 8.7 million cases.
