Product description
The roots of Yellowstone bourbon date back to the second half of the 19th century.
The National Park, from which it takes its name, opened in 1872, and the whiskey itself was certainly on the market in 1886. During Prohibition, Yellowstone enjoyed the status of "medicinal whiskey" and was available by prescription. Currently, the rights to the brand are held by Luxco Inc., owned by MGP Ingredients since 2021. Today, Yellowstone is produced at the Limestone Branch Distillery in Kentucky, where Stephen Beam oversees distillation. The distillery was established in 2010 and is owned by Luxco. The bourbon formula is based on the notes of Guy Beam, Stephen's grandfather, and contains 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The Yellowstone Family Recipe presented here was distilled at Limestone Branch and aged for 6 years. It debuted in 2022 with a limited edition of 3,000 cases.
