Product description
The First Editions is a series of single cask whiskies from the Edition Spirits Ltd. portfolio. The whiskies are always bottled in cask strength, with a natural colour and without chill filtration.
The company was founded in 2010 by Andrew and Scott Laing, sons of Stewart Laing, previously co-owner of Douglas Laing & Co. and currently a director of Hunter Laing & Co. Since 2013, Edition Spirits has operated as a subsidiary of Hunter Laing & Co., with cask selection handled solely by the Laing brothers. The Glenrothes presented here, distilled 1997, spent 23 years in a refilled hogshead cask (HL 18215). In 2021, its contents translated into 247 bottles of whisky at 48.4% abv.
