Product description
Akkeshi Distillery began operations in the fall of 2016. It is equipped with two Scottish stills and can produce 300,000 liters of distillate per year.
The distillery is located on the island of Hokkaido, in a remote area covered with marshes and peat bogs, and the local climate is similar to the climate of the island of Islay. Akkeshi offers both single malt and blended whiskies, and the "24 Solar term series" collection deserves special attention in the offer, inspired by the old Asian calendar dividing the year into 24 solar seasons. Akkeshi Ritto is the fifth edition of the series and refers to the season between late autumn and early winter. The whisky is a blend of its own single malt distillates aged in Japanese Mizunara oak barrels and sherry barrels. Akkeshi Ritto hit the market in December 2021 in the amount of 10,000 bottles.
