Product description
Glenfarclas Distillery, based in Ballindalloch, Speyside, has been owned by the Grant family since 1865.
It is one of a handful of distilleries that matures its whisky primarily in sherry casks and does not use first-fill bourbon casks. John Grant, Glenfarclas’ current director, visits Spain at least once a year to ensure a steady supply of sherry casks. This strategy has resulted in incredible brand loyalty and excellent sales growth, with over 2.5 million bottles sold in 2021. Glenfarclas 35 Year Old hit the market in September 2022. The whisky is bottled at 43% abv and presented in a red box, the front of which imitates the door to the distillery’s warehouse.
