Product description
Aber Falls is currently one of four distilleries producing whisky in Wales.
The distillery is located in the picturesque village of Abergwyngregyn, near the Aber Falls waterfall, and is visited by over 50,000 whisky lovers each year. The distillery has been operating since 2017 and began producing gin, a year later it distilled malt whisky for the first time, and in 2018 rye whisky. The distillery is equipped with one pair of stills, uses only Welsh barley, and for maturation uses mainly bourbon barrels with a small addition of sherry barrels. Aber Falls single malt debuted in May 2021 with an edition of 2,000 bottles, which sold out within a few hours. The one presented here was released in August and is, so far, the only item in the basic offer. In 2022, Aber Falls single malt won a silver medal at the World Spirit Awards.
