Product description
Mackmyra, the first Swedish whisky distillery, was established in 1999.
Ten years later, the company began building a new facility in Gävle, where all distillation has been taking place since 2013 (its capacity is over 500,000 litres of distillate per year). The old distillery reopened in 2017 as Mackmyra’s research laboratory. Brukswhisky debuted in 2010 and remains an important part of the core range to this day. It is a blend of unpeated spirits aged in first-fill bourbon casks, fresh Swedish oak casks and first-fill sherry casks, and a peated spirit aged in first-fill bourbon casks. The 2008 Vintage edition presented here, bottled at 41.4% abv, was released in 2021.
