Mossburn Distillers & Blenders is a subsidiary of the Dutch group Marussia Beverages BV established in 2013.
It owns the Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye (distilling since January 2017) and is the publisher of the whisky. Mossburn Vintage Cask is a small batch of single cask Scotch single malts. The 28th batch (batch 12.1207.28) was Craigellachie, distilled in 2007, finished in an Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled at 46% abv and without chill filtration on 15 November 2021. Built in 1890, Craigellachie Distillery is now owned by John Dewar & Sons, a subsidiary of Bacardi, and produces 4.1 million litres of whisky per year. Historically, the whisky from the distillery was at the heart of the White Horse formula, but is now mainly used in Dewar's blends.
