Product description
Mackmyra, the first Swedish whisky distillery, was established in 1999.
Ten years later, the company began building a new facility in Gävle, where all distillation has been taking place since 2013. The old distillery reopened in 2017 as Mackmyra's research laboratory. The Mackmyra Ambassadör presented here, distilled in 2012, was aged in the so-called Ambassadör casks for about 10 years. These casks, an idea of Mackmyra's, are made of staves from bourbon barrels, and their bottoms are made of Swedish oak. They have a capacity of 200 liters. The whisky was bottled at 48.8% abv in June 2022 in a limited edition of 3,166 half-liter bottles.
